Axial Structural supplies and installs the fixed structures for the plant located in the Netherlands
On November 10, the last panel was installed at the Winterswijk Masterveldweg solar park. This marks the end of the work on this 74MW plant located in Winterswijk (The Netherlands).
The Spanish company Axial Structural Solutions was in charge of designing and manufacturing the solar ground mounting systems used in this project. For this plant, the company has carried out an intense work from its Technical Department to adapt to the specifications requested by its client, the Norwegian company Statkraft.
Among the challenges overcome for this project, in which Axial has carried out both the supply and installation, a design that adapts to the complex soils of the region, which are characterized by their low bearing capacity, stands out.
Axial’s design, for which a gabled structure was used, makes it possible to install a high MW output in a small area, thus making maximum use of space.
The Winterswijk Masterveldweg PV power plant will generate approximately 71.4 GWh per year, which will supply 20,400 households in the region annually. Thus, thanks to the plant, the emission of 839,000 tons of CO2 will be avoided over the next 30 years.

Winterswijk Masterveldweg adds to the new 260MW that the company has recently contracted in the Netherlands.

Winterswijk Masterveldweg solar park
The solar park is located northeast of Winterswijk, between the Masterveldweg and the German land border. The area is surrounded by farmland and forests.
In the design of the plant, in which neighbors and environmental institutions have participated, a 25-hectare strip of land has been respected, which will be kept free for the nature and biodiversity of the area.
In addition, the access roads to the park have not been paved and will be planted with a mixture of native plants.
